Description
We’ve taken our combined experience working at Tesla in 2009 and created a product to fix a design flaw that affected a majority of original Roadsters. If you drive your Roadster regularly, you’ve probably noticed that road grime finds a way to accumulate on the door sill area. That’s because there’s nothing sealing the gap between the bottom of the door and the sill. Some early 2008 Roadsters received a plastic trim piece to help prevent this, but most were delivered without it.
These carbon fiber pieces are molded to fit perfectly on the bottom of Roadster doors and incorporate a rubber seal to close the gap with the body when the doors are closed. The end result is reduced road noise and door sills that stay cleaner longer.
